Fundraising Lottery 2016 in aid of Progetto Vita

Allied International site, Castel San Giovanni, Piacenza - 2016-12-22

Nearly 5,000 euros raised by Heart Lottery for Progetto Vita: part of the sum will go towards the acquisition of a defibrillator to Civil Protection in areas affected by earthquakes in central Italy.

Not even this year did the generosity of Allied Group employees and collaborators disappoint, raising nearly 5,000 euros though the purchase of Heart Lottery tickets in aid of Progetto Vita, the association that provides defibrillators to reduce deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest.

The sum was presented in the form of a symbolic mega-cheque by Valter Alberici to Daniela Aschieri, president of Progetto Vita, who announced that part of the money collected will go towards the acquisition of a defibrillator for the Monte Gallo (Ascoli Piceno) Civil Protection team, which provides assistance to areas affected by earthquakes in central Italy.

As has become the tradition, the winning Lottery tickets were drawn towards the end of the Christmas party, and again this year this was done by 9-year-old Lily, vice president Dan Feather’s young daughter (Marc Herzstein’s granddaughter), who has become a star attraction in this part of the evening, confidently and pleasantly assisting the very capable hostess Rita Nigrelli and interpreter Valentina Sabini.

In the photo gallery below: lottery poster and flier, the hostess and her young assistant busy drawing the winning tickets out of the box, some prize-winners, and the presentation of the mega-cheque to Progetto Vita.
